Oh, Richard... You are aware that I don't have a lot of formal education, all of my paperless degrees coming from the University of Hard Knocks, so I am in need of enlightenment. Just before you left on your European trip, you took me to task on my blog for saying that I don't care to hang out with gays; no gay-bashing, just a statement of my own preference. For the record, I also don't like to hang out at discos and skateboard parks. Okay, maybe I needed to be tweaked over it, that isn't really my point here. You have written a nice little poem here that attacks and ridicules one of the major pillars of faith of one of the major religions on Earth, and what I'm struggling to understand is how what I said borders on a hate crime, but this is OK. I mean, this offends me, and I'm not even a Christian. Let me hasten to add that I do not believe that I have some Constitutional right to not be offended, and I refuse to allow the use of that underhanded euphemism, "Political Correctness" in conversation. I prefer it be called by its uglier True Name: Intellectual Fascism. See, when you aren't allowed to have an opinion because I don't like it, the Nazis have won, and like Voltaire, I will defend to the death your right to say this, but I need to understand: How is what I said more offensive than this?
